Oregon was playing the longest FBS streek of 8 straight conference games without a bye, Wisconsin was comming off thier bye and had two weeks t to rest and prepare, Maryland last week was coming off thier bye as well, i think it shows how good they are thatc they can go against that adversity and still win

I think some people forget 8 weeks straight of games and travel. This team has had no rest and they worked through the sluggish start to close it out. It's like a boxing match and you start to lose steam through the later rounds.

Oregon's football team just accomplished something truly remarkable: they played eight consecutive conference games without a bye week. This grueling stretch raises the question: has any team in Big Ten history-or even across the Power 5 conferences-ever endured a similar gauntlet and gone undefeated? OREGON Stands alone when playing 8 straight power 5 games and going undefeated through them and nobody has Said anything. Here's a breakdown of Oregon's brutal travel schedule: 1. Away at UCLA: first conference road game. 2. Short week at home vs. Michigan State: Played on Friday, with minimal recovery time. 3. Saturday GameDay showdown against Ohio State: A high-stakes matchup that tested their limits. 4. Short week at Purdue (away): Another Friday game, requiring a 4700-mile round trip. 5. Home against #20 Illinois: A tough opponent immediately following their road trip. 6. Michigan (away): A grueling round trip journey. Several key injuries especially at line 7. Home vs. Maryland: marylannd coming off bye A critical game where key players-such as their star receiver Tez being hurt for the game 8. Away at Wisconsin: wisky coning off bye for the 2nd opponentbcoming off byeThis final road trip covered over 4200 miles round trip capping off six weeks of relentless travel. During this stretch, Oregon traveled a staggering 14,000 miles in just 32 days, or 16,000 miles in six weeks, all while dealing with two short weeks in between. Injuries piled up, too: Tez Johnson, their standout receiver, was sidelined. Jordan Burch, one of their best defenders, missed games. 60% of their receiving corps went down, forcing the team to burn redshirts just to field a roster for the Wisconsin trip. Their offensive guard, who had switched from left to right earlier in the season to solidify the line during a pivotal 4th-quarter comeback at Boise State, has been out as well. Despite these obstacles, Oregon has endured. NO other Power 5 team has survived such a schedule OF 8 STRAIGHT POWER 5 GAMES and gone undefeated, they’ve truly made history. This team is running on fumes, yet their resilience and grit are undeniable. These guys are tired, but they continue to prove why they belong among college football's elite.

And, Wisconsin had a bye week. They were rested and had two weeks to prepare for the Ducks, played in their house. The conference needs to not set up the game schedules this way.

i will say DG had his worst game this season vs wisconsin but 8 straight conference games without a bye is extremely hard. it takes a toll now that they are traveling further for games and losing hours due to time zones. i was sweating that entire game tbh

Everyone is bashing Penn State about no good wins, but Penn State came into Wisconsin, night game, and won easily 28-13. It’s hard to win. Penn state won at Wisconsin, at USC, at West Virginia. Winning is not easy

Oregon started the game just fine. Defense was shutting everything down and offense was moving the ball. Red zone was a problem. Will Stine and his red zone play calling is what stalled Oregon. Instead of running the ball in on Connerly's side, they tried to pass the ball several times and failed and had to settle for a field goal and an INT. Could have been 14 to 3 by the end of the first quarter, instead we have a 6-3 game. I would put this games offensive issues on the shoulder of the OC, Will Stine. They did not adjust properly to what Wisconsin was doing on defense and they were not running the ball like they should have been. This game was closed solely because of the offensive play calling from Will Stine. He was not on his game. That was the only reason why it was so close.

Oregon's offense absolutely has vulnerabilities but they are mostly internal. DG occasionally misses some throws that he would usually make look easy. Ferguson sometimes drops balls that he normally catches. The TE's and O-line occasionally whiff on blocks that they typically execute with perfection. Oregon's offense has a problem where its plays require a lot of things to go right for them to dominate in a game. When someone misses a block or commits a penalty that can be a critical drive killing moment. It's hard to string together a long sequence of excellent play with 11 players on the field. When Oregon's offense is humming along it's definitely LETHAL but if you pick up a little rock and suck it up into the intake... bad stuff can and does happen. Thankfully the running backs and defense are designed a bit differently. It's like Oregon is a Bugatti Chiron tricked out with offroad suspension and tires for Baja racing with a 20 mm autocanon mounted on the top. When it works you are like WOW! look at that, but sometimes you rattle the trim right off the thing when you hit a good sized bump.

Lazy coverage these guys don’t know about the 8 straight weeks without a bye while Wisconsin just came off a bye.

Notice how no one gives credit to Wisconsin. Lol. Lazy reporting. Wisconsin had what the 6th best pass defense? They played their asses off. Kept Oregon off balance all night. Oregon helped with the pick but still, give credit to Wisconsin for coming out like this was their national championship game. Give Oregon credit for overcoming adversity and getting the win.

Oregon will be fine. Its a game of momentum. If they dont have the pick in the first quarter in the red zone its a different game. The ferguson slip exc. Every team will play there best against oregon and they need that adversity. The last month there games have been over at half. This will motivate them and give them a sense of urgency and fuel to drive through the playoffs ! Keep finding a way to win and move on !

Was not the fake field goal, was the fake play, run wide on a fake not into the line, duh.

Oregon had ten blunders in the first half... wasnt the players was the coaching Mostly OC IMO, continues to be an issue, inconsistent OC.

WI should have won the game, even with a back up QB and missing their best RB. Oregon is not deserving of the number one spot.

Rankings don’t matter right now. Indiana can have it right now if that will make you feel better. In the words of Dan Lanning “who cares”.

After Indiana gets waxed by Ohio State, and Army gets wrecked by Notre Dame, #1 Oregon will be the only undefeated team in the country going into week 12. Crazy how Hoosiers fans have let 1 good season go to their head so fast. Maintain some humility. Enjoy the ride. Your schedule has been an absolute cake walk.
