We had a good time, the '90, the '98 and me. It brightens up our long evenings in the garage by the wood stove during our endless Quebec winter. Thanks.

Awesome I've been looking into getting a DR650 myself to do some bigger road trips with. Can't go wrong with the DR's

Thanks for the inspiration man! I've been putting off my dr350 for about a year now but your videos make me want to dust it off and get it on the trails again!

That's awesome!

Keep a 14t front sprocket with you. Only takes a few minutes to swap them out and if your chain is in good shape you'll have plenty of room to tighten it. That one tooth on the front will make a big difference when off road. Do you ever come down to Utah and ride? I do an annual berry run in September for elderberries in which make some awesome jelly and syrup.

That's a good idea with the sprocket I'll have to try that out. Also Utah has been on the bucket list of places to ride, would be awesome to do something like that

You should have brought a root of those thimble berries back with you and have your own wild berries which will make you super strong and healthy. PS: The thimble berry bushes is where most likely you will encounter a bear if there are any in your area. Thankfully bears are big fans of DR 350's so I'm sure he will just check your bike out and say nice bike...in bear language of course.

I've ran into a couple bears throughout the years, must've not been fans of Japanese bikes cause they ran away as soon as they could. Smart idea with taking some berry plants home I just might have to try that out

Man we gotta go ride those trails again. I don't think David has been on a number of those. Your videos are sweet. Hit me up when you're free, and we will go ride buddy.

I'm down. On this ride I found a couple more trails in the area we can try to hit too as soon as the snow clears out up there

How do you like the Tusk bags? Ive been waffling between the Traverse Pannier bags or their Excursion bags.
@mtnmotoadv Жыл бұрын
Traverse bags have been great. Small and compact but still carries enough for day trips. They carry a folding saw, tools, tire irons, air compressor, medkit, bungies, snacks and spare oil. Have dropped the bike on them plenty of times and they've held up great. Only issue I have is the lack of being waterproof but ziplock baggies can bypass that. Excursions would be better for multi-day trips but I ended up selling mine cause I wasn't a huge fan of the way they mounted (interfered with my top case) and they were overkill for the majority of riding I do. Still seemed like heavy duty quality bags though so really depends on what y ou're using them for.

Never sell that DR350. Even if you decide to get a bigger, newer bike, keep the DR. If you don't you will regret it. Nice trails! Hope you have some potent bear 'medicine' with you (and I don't mean spray).

That's funny cause I've recently really been on the fence about getting a DR650 cause the 350 is starting to really eat oil. After a lot of thought though I decided to just do a top end rebuild when needed and ride it another 30,000 miles or so lol. Probably one of the better dual sports ever made that can do it all.

@@mtnmotoadv If anybody made a similar bike today selling for $6k they would be going like hot cakes. I have a TW and I love it but it's not the same as that DR350. Not near as good on the road. TW 50 - 55 cruise. DR probably 10mph better cruise and still has some left. Trail is pretty great on either.

@@hazcat640 Well…Alrighty then. Sounds like good advice. I’m a new rider with a low mileage DR350se. Was thinking of selling the DR and getting a TW200. I guess I’ll hang onto it. I might get a TW at a later date for my son when he gets his license.
