Can you put the enzymes in a container of 10% chlorine and feed both into the return line with a RolaChem metered pump?
@OrendaTechnologies Жыл бұрын
No you cannot. In that concentration they don’t mix well. Separate feeders are necessary.

i am not able to floor vacuum my pool for 5 days after PR-10000 application. Will its effectiveness to precipitate the phosphates be diminished by that time? to clarify more. i have run the filter without floor vac until clear, but cannot floor vac for 5 days.

PR’e reaction is done in minutes. Then it’s just dust management after that, and the dust doesn’t redissolve into the water

💦Thank you Eric💦 Episode 66 was extremely informative and clearly explained.💦

It’s good to see he’s actually working in that closet of his.

Does enzymes increase ur cartridge filter pressure? Does the pressure go back down itself as the enzyme breaks down or do I have to clean the cartridge.

Great question. CV-600 will not increase any pressure, but CV-700 can (because of the phosphate dust that falls out of solution). Generally with a cartridge you have a lot of surface area before it’s an issue, but if filter pressure is a concern, just use CV-600. It should actually extend time between cleanings.

Thank you, Eric. I need to listen to all of the podcasts in this series, maybe a couple of times. I am currently putting in CE-Clarifier and have a bottle of SC-1000. All seems fine, but maybe I need to do a purge with CV-600 or CV-700. Is there any way to test for enzyme levels? Or maybe the condition of the water should be a good indicator.

Thanks Briz! We wish there was a way to measure enzyme levels, but unfortunately it’s one of those things based on feel, amount of bubbles, and sheer volume of compliments from pool owners and swimmers.

@@OrendaTechnologies Thanks, Eric, I like the sheer volume of compliments measurement! We just had algae appear on our pool walls, paired with low chlorine readings and 500 ppb phosphates. I plan on adding PR-10000, letting the pool run for a few days to clear any precipitate, cleaning the cartridge filters, then purge dose of CV-700, followed by weekly doses of SC-1000 and CV-700. Is that the best order of operation? We are in Houston TX with 85 deg water and backed up to a golf course, so prime conditions for increased phosphate activity. Thanks for these educational podcasts.
