This would be cool, you have to get sleep or the phantoms get you, how about if your sleep bar is out you get attacked by phantoms, sleeping restores 5/20 bars, so sleeping 4 times fills your bar and you start out with 10 bars of sleep when you start a new world or if you die.

I agree. The sleep bar should also lower all stats (except hunger and hp) a lot (e.g : you move as slow as about slowness). Also player sprint is slow and you stop after 1.5 seconds. That's my idea for sleep bar when it's empty.

with a bit of modification this actually could be a pretty good mechanic. if you go one day without sleep, you get slowness 1 and weakness 1. after 2, it adds mining fatigue,. on the third it adds another level to weakness and slowness, and after four you begin taking damage slowly (four days without sleep and you actually can die) you can refill it back by sleeping
