We LOVE music teachers! What a wonderful way to infuse a class with a Jazz classic.

For those looking for a slow recording, I think a MIDI file was used here. If you download a MIDI of Take Five, check out MuseScore, then you can slow and quicken it as necessary.

Having attended this same workshop myself within the last 10 years, I can tell you that the Instructor is Susan Ramsay, and the music is from a CD she produced specifically for use in the elementary classroom. There is also a faster version on the CD as well as other instrumentals I can't recall right now. I don't have her phone # but here is a web page about her. Perhaps you can e-mail her for details how to obtain a copy for yourself? susan.c.ramsay@vanderbilt.edu

lol..love this! Great Birthday game idea..Of course for children the level would have to be a little less intense..i know they would great time doing it to childrens songs..I remember as a child always loving to tap on things for the rhythm..and playing with spoons etc..Basically the same thing but on a bigger scale..Looks like fun

I am assuming that this level was taught by Sue Ramsey. She has done this at workshops, and has a recording of her husband performing this at the slower tempo. I am not sure if she is selling the CD, but you might look her up.

Where can I find the slower version of Take Five? The tempo seems to be perfect.

Yes, it is quite interesting the kind of sound which is produced by the thing you are passing by when it hits the floor...which kind of material is it?

Anybody found the song in the video yet? As below all I can find are fast versions. Given the 5/4 signature, and the speed, it's near impossible to teach to youngsters.

Duh...just play the audio from this video. There are also REAL easy ways to make a local copy of this and also convert it to an MP3 but I would never do that because it's wrong......
