Is this splint good for wrist radial nerve injuries.

Hi! Our apologies for getting back to you only now. Radial nerve palsy affects the wrist extensors and also all of the digital extensors. Therefore most patients will need support for the wrist and the fingers. Typically a functional orthosis is fabricated, which includes dynamic extension assists for the fingers and either a dynamic wrist extension component or a stable wrist. You can read more about this orthosis here: www.orfit.com/blog/splint-in-the-spotlight-finger-extension-assist-orthosis/ You might give the patient a volar wrist orthosis at night but this allows the fingers to have no ability to extend.
