An organic tomato farmer in the Sacramento Valley is achieving some pretty amazing results using significantly less water on his fields. Researchers at UC Davis are helping verify and monitor his results so they can be shared with other farmers. It’s one of six exciting new grants OFRF awarded in 2016 to address the most pressing issues of organic farmers.
Research projects like this are critical to fostering the improvement and widespread adoption of sustainable farming practices that conserve water, protect the environment, and provide healthy food.
For over 26 years, OFRF has been funding research and advocating for programs and policies that improve the success of organic farmers. With your help, we can continue to do so. Please consider making a donation to OFRF as part of your year-end giving.

Absolutely agree that if the soil and plants are allowed their natural relationships most issues on which are thrown external inputs are perhaps not needed.....we are experiencing very much the same in our tea farm a soils grow healthier and crop more independent of chemistry.
