Best farming channel out there hands down! I love all the different things you do.

@@jamiecollins1220 thanks for watching & commenting. It’s also the slowest growing and one of the least known farming channels out there. 400+ videos, 4 years, 10k subs. Most of those subs came on board this year.

Thanks Rob. Not much of it is planned, just describing what’s happening. Most videos start out at 15-27 minutes and get edited down to 7-12

Glad you have a good crop after last year! In a few years give that little one a bucket and let him follow the picker. Put his green bean money in an account and he may have a good little chunk of change when he gets older.

Ohhhh, I remember doing .5 mph all day cultivating tobacco. Great video. Nice harvest and looking forward to the canning part. We used to grow carrots and peas for the canning industry when they used to be around, we need to go back to that.

It’s an Oxbo BH100. Mine is the original version called a Pixall (later changed to Oxbo) Pull-Pix. It’s older than I am, but still works.

Do you replant the same beans after the first harvest or can you in your area?
@PatrickShivers5 ай бұрын
@@jamiecollins1220 very short and precise window to plant green beans here. Border line to cold when we plant and almost to hot for them when we harvest. In the deep south spring is only 2-3 days. We go straight from 50 degree highs to 85 plus.

I process peas for a guy that picks with one. I’m not totally sold on the idea, as I can’t get the peas to set a singular crop. Most of my pea harvest is still done by hand. If I could get the peas to set most of their crop in the initial set I believe a Big Jack would be a great investment. The sky is the limit for southern pea sells in my area.

Your product comb is running wrong direction someone put the gear cog driver in backwards if it was turning right direction direction these beans would be going up belt
@PatrickShivers Жыл бұрын
That’s an illusion. It is running about twice the speed and the opposite direction than what it appears on video. It spins counter clockwise raking across the plants first, then the belt, heading up from the belt towards the center of the machine and then back down towards the plants. If it spun backwards it would throw the green beans away from the belt instead of on the belt. It is the same with many of the farm machinery that I film. When something is spinning at a high rate of speed, on film it appears to be spinning half as fast and in the opposite direction. It doesn’t look that way in person, but it does on film. You can stand beside it filming with cell phone and it looks super fast and correct with your eyes and and slow and backwards on cell phone screen
