💯 agree all the local farmers around me have just this year agree to go totally chemical free and only spread cow manure, and grow the more traditional seeds spliting up fields with different crops and have rotated their crops every year, plus there is a huge increase in either local farmers selling from shops that open once a week for you to collect your shopping from that you have ordered online teng you have they farm their animals and crops, beautiful raw milk products and free range meats chemical free, I live in NW France

Currently there are no fineable Rules and guidelines for Any Government servants so it becomes easy for them to do corruption. there is a SOS need for Government Service charters for All Government servants including the judiciary. this charters have to be carefully scutinized and drafted leaving no room for any loop holes and escspe routes. it must be made functionally working, practical, transperant, accountable, modern and yet very reliable. I am a very small organic vegetable and fruit grower in America. My channel is dedicated to the truth. As GMO corn farmer destroys my home. Positive test results from the department of agriculture. Being sprayed with chemicals that are banned in most of the world. The US government recently supposedly banned dicamba . But not really. Just the heavier stuff. So all they have to do is crank up the sprayers and their spraying the same amount. So they tell us they’re looking out for all the trees that are dying. But not really. The farmers here are obsessed with the chemicals. We have the highest cancer rate in the state highest amount of chemicals and the highest suicide. The citizens go to the doctor and they say you have the farmers cancer. The reply is I’m not a farmer. They bring the industrial chemicals into town and spray the alleys. Wiping out fruit trees and elderly peoples gardens. The poisoning in America is sick. Go grow something worth eating because you and your children are worth it.

@@dragonmom8406 the chemical wasteland called Kansas. Where they have no protection for their citizens. I spoke at the commissioners meeting recently about the elderly and children that are being drifted with chemicals. They didn’t have a single question or comment because they know it. They sell the old farm houses for a half $1 million and then poison the family off of it. I came here as a mechanic for the farmer just like my new neighbor across the highway. Within a year of him buying the place because he’s not a local settling family. They drifted his kid and Wife while he was at work and destroyed his trees. Between the radio and the college brainwash. they’re convinced the chemicals are harmless. But they don’t spray their families. I’m going through the third family Farm sale in the last 15 years. My granddad meet Monsanto with a shotgun at the gate. Telling them I will never poison the world’s bread basket. As we get wiped out by chemical farming. government has given the chemical companies the license to kill.

She'll know better than most about 1) the research replication crisis, and 2) how difficult research and data is to acquire, let alone made available to available at all to the general public so they can do their own reading and fact checking.

You should read her books, then. This is just an interview. All her real work and time is shown in her books, which makes sense. Think about how much work goes into what she's doing. By the, I am well aware of everything she's talking about, without ever having read a single book from her. Many of the things she talked about have already happened in the States first. They have even released GMO salmon into Alaskan waters. It's seriously f*cked Up!

Personally, I have seen that the more money you collect, the unhappier you get... the more you run after money, the more you lose yourself... money is human invented vice and definitely not worth constantly pursuing... the poorest people on. earth are the greedy ones that constantly chase money, they may have a lot of money in their banks but become empty within...
@dragonmom84063 ай бұрын
For the most part, I agree. Some people, however, just get lucky, without intentionally chasing money and certainly not for the sake of money alone. There are the rare few who come into money and use it not merely for personal enrichment, but rather to do good. That's a very different thing entirely, something very few have the moral aptitude to achieve. Most people are only "good" as long as it is in their best interests to be good. Money can be power and thus free them of any restraints, which in turn allows them to feel secure acting in selfish or cruel ways. Money is just a tool. We make of it what we choose.

Like her being critical on agri status quo. She needs more quantitative approach. Fertilizer allows to multiply harvesting output. To say that its not true needs more depths of information.
@dragonmom84063 ай бұрын
You're not exactly correct. She's speaking of chemical fertiliser. Organic farming (the way it was done for ages before the industrial era) uses composting (this includes crop waste, animal waste, etc) to create rich, bio active soil(what do you think potting soil is?) and animal manure to enrich the fields. Manure must be aged to reduce acidity, so it's much like composting. You can also use animal urine to add nitrogen back to the soil, but a better way to do that is a combination of crop rotations and planting legumes, such as peas and beans, which naturally draw nitrogen out of the environment and deposit it into the soil through their roots. Look into permaculture. I don't know if anyone has successfully turned permaculture into a large scale farming endeavour, but I do know of a model of organic farming in Germany that has the highest standards in the country. It's called Demeter. They are very effective and their foods have the highest quality in the country, which you can see and taste! They're a bit pricier, but listen to what she said about subsidies for conventional foods. This is a very important fact. It's being done all over the world, and has been in place in America and western countries for decades! Without subsidies to keep production capped and rig the prices, we would be paying at least the same for conventional foods as we do for organic, possibly even more, because all those hybrid and GMO seeds, pesticides and herbicides cost a lot more than organic seed saving and natural fertilising methods. I grow an organic garden and it's growing out of control! I never use any chemicals or pesticides.

@josephuicker38727 ай бұрын
Traditional farmers domesticated ALL of the plants and animals commonly used in agriculture. In the last century or so people have learned to apply industrial techniques to agriculture. They can now get huge yields from their fields. Of what? Industrial commodities not food for themselves. In the process the soil and water resources are degraded. Industrial farming is not sustainable and will collapse. The poor farmers who invest in it are harmed in the process.
