If this is the new North American Tiguan, Volkswagen appears to be moving the Tiguan more upmarket to compete with the Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot, allowing the Taos to compete with the RAV4 and CRV. This is a gorgeous SUV and will be a huge success for Volkswagen

Good looking vehicle! A 7 seater version would be very interesting to me but the absence of physical buttons is a deal breaker. I did test drive a couple of new VWs and it's just sad. I just cannot live with this touch-only crap. The temperature control actually makes my head hurt.

If they HAD to put this awful tablets instead on analogue buttons why can't they somehow integrate it with the dashboard like XC60/XC90 does ? It's so fcuking ugly to see a huge screen sticking out of nowhere like it was glued. Not to mention I feel pitty for owners once this s.hit crashes in 3-4 years like most LCD devices do. Especially if this car isn't driven in California but in Europe where there is +30 in summer (+60 if the car is in the sun with windows closed) and -20 in winter. No electronic circuit will resist that plus humidity.
