Not sure what's available in your area for future moves, but I had to move my manga collection several times and what made it easier for me was packing all the volumes in plastic bins that could be stacked and wheeled in and out with a dolley. It was also much better for my piece of mind in case they had to stay in storage for awhile because the plastic bins protects them from water damage. The worst case actually happened and one of my apartment closets got flooded but my volumes were all safe because of the bins. 🙏❤

Yes I used to store them in big plastic containers too, that helped with them not getting damp and mouldy in my old room. Hoping not to move any time soon ahaha the move took me out 😭🤣

So excited for this journey! You could possibly invest in extra shelves to put into the bookcases, or even get manga riders to double stack. I found this really helped with space :) can’t wait to see the finished product!

thank you for another cozy video ❤ if you would like to see the double stacked shelves better i'd recommend investing in some acrylic risers & you can also use a hair dryer if you would like to get rid of the stickers they put on some of your volumes (i know the ones they stuck on the spines would bother me personally) can't wait for the next part!

I totally felt what you were feeling when you think that you’re gonna have all this extra space and then you start unpacking and you realize how much manga you actually have lol 😂 Had a lot of fun buddy reading with you as well. I think that was like two or three years ago. I have no idea either so lol have you read Akira yet? If not do you want that to be our next buddy read? Only if you have time, no pressure at all. If you want to pick a shorter series hit me up as well lol What a great collection ❤❤❤ I would love to see a video series where you go through and do a unhaul series. I know some book tubers are doing it where they read it and they enjoy it or they un haul it. Maybe you can do something like that.

Also I recommend buying some extra shelves to slot into the bookcases (ikea should sell them separately) and organizing the manga by height where you can. You should be able to fit at least one more shelf/row in each bookcase that way. Heavy volumes and box sets should also go on the bottom shelves, especially since you got the deeper billy bookkcases. That will help prevent the shelves from bowing.
