I would sort by color first.Then sort by thickness or thinness.

@@Alice-ng2po I was thinking about sorting it by thickness too! But I think it makes sense if you have way more yarn than me, and most of what I own is still worsted.

I have a lot more yarn that I keep in large plastic crates, akk stacked up, not on a bookshelf.
