The hairstyle is a weave, or sew-in. I had one when I was in my 20's. Everyone used to get one for special occasions at school, like picture day, or prom. Now everyone uses it for protective styles or just because. But it's not new, it just a weave. It's a great way to hide your hair or protect it.

I actually asked my hair stylist after I talked about it the proper term is “Mesh Integration System” I looked it up on Instagram and you can find a lot of videos!🩷😍the install for weaves are different this one you have a topper so quite a lot of work but will be nice for people like myself with prone hairloss or alopecia!

​@@Slmissglam Yes this is how a weave is installed, with a mesh hair net. It may be called something different at your salon. But is is the same process done for weave. You use a mesh hair net which they attach to your hair with either sewing it in using those metal clips or using glue. Then they cut the extra mesh off add in the tracks of human or synthetic hair they usually have leave out, which is your hair left out on top, and then they style it. It's a weave. And yes it can been done for those with alopecia. Because my aunts and cousins have had it done who have alopecia. They even have this for men although it's a different procedure altogether if they are completely bald. But its still called a weave and it looks great! I'm sure you will love it. But it does get itch. I only had mine in for 3 weeks. I just couldn't take it lols.
