This is the ONLY video I’ve seen on the Color Cube that shows every card. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wanted to see that. So I thank you. It is an important thing to do on camera for viewers. God bless.

Love using them with so many projects! Hoping she brings out even more color cubes for more celestial scenes, like moonlight, and other types of texture cube ideas.

@@JodyMoments she said a few weeks ago that they’re working on a texture pack , and other things!

Your method is pure GENIUS! For me, the cards will be far more logically arranged now!!!!

I just received mine yesterday and was thinking of doing this as well! Nice to see Im not the only one who would need it organized into sections 😊

Great minds think alike! Curious what categories are you thinking about?

I’ve had these cubes for months and used them once. Once. I even took them out of their boxes and put them together in a container I could more easily flip through. This? This is GENIUS!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!

Hi Melissa, I am so glad this helped you out. I think many of us can relate to purchasing items and barely using them. Here are some tips I follow to get more use out of such items. I hope you don’t mind me sharing: - First week: I dedicate the first 7 days to trying everything possible with the item. For color cubes, I focused on organizing and labeling the palettes in ways that made sense to me (e.g., by themes like futuristic, nature, etc.). I also removed palettes I knew I wouldn’t use, which helped me target specific projects. I also did this when my friend purchased me an instantpot, I selected 7 recipes and for 7 days I made something in it, and now I use it all of the time. - Keep it visible: Out of sight, out of mind is so sad but true. I make sure the cubes are always within reach, like on my desk, to encourage use. - Tie it to a project: I notice I use the cubes most during coloring challenges I make for myself or others create. They save time when I’m working with a set theme or trying something new. - Share or repurpose: If you end up finding that you aren't using them that much again. maybe a friend would like to borrow them for a while. It might inspire them until you want to revisit them. I hope this helps you in some way.

My cubes just arrived and I was wondering about organization. You did what the digital catalogs do, that is provide "categories" So, I think I will reference what Sarah came up with in the digital versions and adjust to my own preference (I may start with hers so I can cross reference). As to the stickers, I put mine on the box itself since the inside of the covers has the box number. Stay motivated!

That's great! Did you pick up the digital version too? I haven't invested in it, I got the physical instead so I'm not sure the categories that are listed. Are there any neat categories?
@dwhip4927 күн бұрын
@@JodyMoments As you might expect she put a lot of thought into her "key word" and "category" hot buttons. However, for someone who has put as much thought into this as you have, I doubt it would be useful to you. Things like "seasons" or "flowers"...like that (sadly for me no "trains" or "vintage aircraft!). Everybody has there own approach. I recommend the digital for beginners like me but like you I prefer the "hard copy". I do think you would find her pencil brand specific PDF's useful. You can find a card in the cube, look up that number in the pdf and it will give you the prismacolor pencil number for the colors on the card (or Faber Castile or brand x...forget exactly which ones she covers.)

Oh yeah that is super helpful advice! Thanks again.

Thanks for showing your process of categorizing and organizing. That was my big question. Picking at random is only minimally useful for me, and having to flip thru 500 cards every time I wanted color ideas would be a nightmare. 😊. Thanks for showing every card too.
@JodyMoments9 ай бұрын
Agreed! I am sure there is a clever way to ameka spreadsheet but that seemed like a lot of work too. :) Taking out cards with same color family like tons of red on a card or tons of greens on a card didn't make sense to me so those were taken out along with color pallets that I wasn't attracted to.
@sherryfurr91159 ай бұрын
Thanks for doing this. I have had both boxes for over a year but just grabbing a card at random has really not worked for me. So I have hardly used them. I may try this.
@JodyMoments9 ай бұрын
Yes, I was worried that would happen for me too. Since it is an investment to purchase these cubes, I think removing color cards you know you wont use, then sorting by categories, or things you want to learn is a great way to always use these for every project. Another great way too is planning ahead. Select the coloring pages you want to color for the month and consider the color pallets for the entire month along with selecting the different coloring pencils (if you have a couple of coloring pencil sets you like that works great. But that keeps it easy for me to grab the book/materials and color without having to figure out the color pallets one at a time. Shared how I do this here kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnjZd3Rrapmneq8

Hihi. I don't have the digital version so I can't search in the app to find them that way. So i had to sort by my own made up categories to make it easier to find them.

Hi! Thank you so much . Just have a question, does it give you instructions of what to mix to make the colors?
@JodyMoments9 ай бұрын
No, it doesnt share how to mix the colors and pair two color palette cards, but that would be neat if it did. I do know that some of these color palettes in the set are created based on color theory. If you do a search color theory you'll find there's a lot of knowledge out there that can help you on selecting colors that go well together. But, what I like to select colors based on 1) my favorite colors *teals/magenta/purple and a dark yellow, then I consider the colors I need (wood colors browns or stone greys, or leaves and trees I select greens and yellows, and then I figure out the cards based on that. Not sure if that helps, but that's how I do it. :D

Hi Sue, I enjoyed volume 2 more, it had some steampunk/neon colors/wildlife, and sky scenes, that I enjoy using as reference cards to color (not just for color palettes).
