In the first minutes I remember waking and planning an Ikea run and then planning all it would allow me to get done after. Usually we would get home and all the kids would need to be fed, someone would have a game, etc. two weeks later the Ikea thing would still be in the car never unloaded, and yes those doors would be left leaning somewhere. A year later.... thanks for letting me live vicariously thru you and see how it can actually get done.

Your videos are so enjoyable to watch!! Nothing quite like a good craft room organization day! I started using Markup R- XP about a year ago and now won't stitch without it. It can be a little fiddly sometimes to get a pattern set up but it is well worth it and makes following a pattern so much easier!

I think my mom has the same drawer system you have and the fabric really does weigh it down, but it can also hold a lot! Love the doors and visibility of the yarn!

If it were me I’d put all my pretties on the shelves and all the other stuff in the closet. I like to display my yarn and fabric where I see it all the time. My cross stitch is put away since everything is different sizes and they stick out on the shelves. I keep out my kitted stuff and wips, everything else is in my hall closet. Storage stuff put away, pretty stuff on shelves😉. Also I think you can condense your yarn a lot more and free up space for fabric. The shelves in the middle can still be the things you love to display and use for backdrop. My display is set up really pretty. It’s EVERYTHING ELSE that’s a pain in my butt. I’m so disorganized and can’t find anything😂my sister needs to come over and help me. She’s good with all of that.

I am nearly finished organizing my room/craft room/penthouse for a short person (meaning the room is on the first floor of a small house, rather than a giant room at the top of some 50 story building). 🤣 Doesn't it feel good to be able to find things again -- rather than, "where is that _____." I have everything labled, fabric sorted, WIPs organized by priority, and today my roommate is going to dust my shelves for me. Not only short I am, but partially disabled; I am not allowed on ladders. Love all your videos an enjoy watching all your accomplish.

OK, I really want to see how you end up storing the fabric and everything else. I have a lot of space but not when compared to my crafts! I also do paper crafting and I'm getting ready to make another huge purge and donation to some art teacher somewhere.... But fabric is a major issue for me -- if only I could be Nichol Spohr! I love her bolts! But alas, I don't have THAT much fabric (or space I suspect). Also, how do you store your stitching linen?
