Thanks for sharing! I think a lot of us struggle with scraps. I can't bear to throw away paper I use the small random scraps to make a variety of embellishments. KZbin has lots of embellishment videos for inspiration! 😊

Cutting your patterned paper into toppers is a great idea. I donate my odds and ends of leftover papers to our local library for their after school programs. Every couple of months I drop off a huge pile and they always seem happy to get it. It makes me feel good and it’s so nice to see the bottom of the scrap bin once in awhile 😀 But but I totally understand the desire to hang onto every bit of paper because, ‘ya just never know...’ Great video 👍

It's so difficult to let any of it go when you love paper as much as I do!! Lol. But it does feel so good to have this drawer tackled, and I love having it cut down to card sizes. I can still use it for die cutting, too and it's definitely more manageable. I love that you donate your extra paper! What a wonderful thing to do!! :)

This is exactly what I did with my paper chaos in Feb. this year. I only allowed myself one folder for patterned paper and then for the scrap card stock I organized by color family. I pull from there first if I can, and then if I have scraps that won't fit in the folder--in the trash it goes! Such a relief to get rid of the mess. I'm a casual card maker so it's silly for me to hang on to all of these scraps. Unnecessary angst. ;) I'm glad you found your way. :)

Lol...so great that you did this! I know, all those scraps....who even knew they were there? I like your folder idea for the patterned paper, too...that sounds like it would really work for me, too! Thanks for your comment!

Great idea! And good job in getting it done! I don’t have as many, but I need to organize my scraps better,

You can do it! It took me a couple days to go through it all, give myself a pep talk in throwing out all the little pieces, and re-organize it, but I love it so much now!

When your scrap paper is more than your unused papers. LOL I have to have my scraps organized vertically to make it easier to rummage through. And, I make myself give up those little scraps like you did. I never use them in reality.

All too true!! Lol. I really do like it much better this way. Don't miss the scrap drawer at all!

I keep my scraps in an accordion folder. When it gets full, I try to make cards just using scraps or I have to toss some. It keeps my scrap piles in check and limits the amount I can keep. I hope your new system works well for you.

That's a great idea! When mine gets way too full, I'm going to give this a try! Thanks for your comment :)

Where did you get the file folder you are utilizing for your scraps?

I use the clear project folders from Staples...you can probably find them at any office supply. I will try to find some and link them for you!
