Bach wrote this in 1713. 411 years later (in 2024) we still find emotional resonance with its evocation of sublime beauty and peace. Tis a great comfort to return to this whenever life gets turbulent. As it does sometimes.

Perhaps, one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Performed, I am sure, just as Bach intended. Well done Mr. Marshall

This is lovely. My grandmother used to play it on her radiogram when I was a toddler and I chose it as part of the music for my baby daughter's funeral in 1980. Thank you and Mr Virgil Fox.
