Since 2012 Olivier Penin is a titular organist of the basilica Sainte-Clotilde in Paris. He is in charge of the religious music and the choice of the programs in the basilica. In addition, he arranges and compose. He created an international series of concerts at the basilica as well as a masterclass which attracts pupils from all over the world. He made numerous videos on his organ which generated more than 250 000 views.

Olivier, Charles and I adored our visit with you in 2014, high in the loft, under the mighty ranks. Charles passed away in February. Your English has improved! Blessings to you and your family, during these difficult times.

I love this. Thank you both so much for having this in English. Great job! I agree with you when you said you had to spend time to learn the organ at Sainte-Clotilde. I played it in 1999 and spent most of my allotted time just building the ensemble from soft foundation to full organ. Once I understood that, it made registration much easier. Thanks again!

I'm enjoying this discussion. When Olivier Penin talks about César Franck, I seem to hear my father (substitute organist for Tournemire and Bonnal) use the same words about this composer he appreciated a lot. Thank you. Adrian Schulé
