I kind of get why there weren't in the first game because he and Sein were the "soul" of the forest and were trying to restore it. So instead of killing things they were trying to revive/restore them. That's why even Kuro is never mentioned as an evil character, just blinded by rage. The "bosses" were the escape sequences which were fantastic and an adrenaline rush. But then again, you had to kill little creatures throughout the whole game, like frogs, so yeah, there's that. lol

Yeah, its like combat in first Ori was there for the sole purpose of saying "yeah, we have combat in our game". Like during my Hard Difficulty run I didnt put any points in combat tree focusing more on platforming skills, which were bread and butter of that game.

The first time i saw the release trailer of Ori and the Blind Forest i was hooked. Not just because it was beautiful and looked amazing to play. What really got me hooked was the music. I still get shivers and goosebumps hearing anything these guys produce. Cant wait to feel something like that again in this new installment!

Read the description it is gonna be also available from Steam (as will most of MS 1st/2nd party games as well in the future) Anyhow as for Switch, dont get your hopes up too much for that....it might be possible in the future, then again it might not. Cuphead was different cause although Microsoft did help fund the development of the game, they did NOT publish it. Yes they had obviously somekind of right to decide on which platforms the game gets released, but again Cuphead never was their 1st/2nd party game like Ori is. Obviously there have been some rumors of Ori games possibly going to Switch as some point as there has been rumors about Xcloud/Gamepass coming to Switch, but I would say at this point that just get a decent PC or Xbox at some point if it looks like these games are not coming to Switch and also especially if it looks like Microsoft starts dropping new exciting IPs you might be interested during next gen. I understand that not all might have the money or interest to buy/get more than 1 gaming platform and to many of you that gaming platform is Switch, but personally as gamer I would never settle on just 1 platform cause you miss out on so many great games otherwise.

ok i honestly have no idea if this happened to anyone else, but i broke all of the platforms in the lava area part, and then i left, so the platforms wouldn't respawn. i came back, and all the platforms were gone, so i had to get to the end ONLY USING THE BULLET REFLECT MOVE. This was a pain in the ass to do, and it took me like an hour to finish. it was 500 times harder without those crumbling platforms.

Idk about the Boss battles. I quite liked the fact that you couldn't fight Kuro in the original. I think Ori is supposed to be defenseless, like a child.

It's about the design. It's why in most horror games you can't fight back. Cuz if they gave you a shotgun and a chainsaw... Then it's Doom, basically. Good game but different animal
