Orient TriStar - I ALMOST SMASHED IT! (with MACRO!)

The site that had the most information about this watch had "3 stars, 3 complications" as well as their version of why the watch was called Tri-Star, related to it's 3 complications (hence why I mentioned that as "part of the reason" why these are called "TriStar.") The stars stand for "quality, design, and price," as explained on Orient's website. Carry on.

Great review. I like that the day of the week and hour complications are the same dial size vs. my Orient field watch (one of two i own, the other the Bambino) where the 24 hour dial is very small; I do use the day complication a lot more since I don't usually have an issue telling the difference between 6AM and 6PM, etc. I think this watch would look amazing with a blue leather strap, and I just might pick one up and add one. Thanks for all you do!

great review as per usual! i have been wanting the Bambino 2nd gen version 2 black dial with roman numerals - but at about the same price i might have to get a tristar - or both dang it! 😎

Technically, RA-AK is already not a Tristar, not sure why Epson/Orient decided to market it as such... including that awful bracelet. But luckily it says nothing bad about the watch itself. I always swap straps on the watches on day one to either steel mesh or NATOs, with this I'd go with the former.

Excellent review Insomniac, I like the Orient brand because in house movements, i think is more value to the watch. The OrientStar has much better quality if u want an Orient. Regards

Right in the info screen with the watch specs there's a "supplied by" section. Everybody skips the screen with the info then asks me questions I answered on the info screen LOL
