This is something I'm always so concerned about with popular public figures and just people who post online in general. Even if you're not giving out a specific address, if you're showing pictures/video footage of the area you live in and/or talking about it in even minor details, people can still figure out where you live. Please be careful, your safety is far more important than your followers and any content they may want about your life.

This definitely makes me want to live with others when I go study in Japan. Usually I’m very introverted so I was drawn to just living by myself but, seeing your study makes me see the other side of living with others abroad!

Yes. I already lived with others 13 roommates (it was a big house) and that was the best part in my travel to study. I made a lot of friends of different regions and cultures, that was really cool. I think that maybe if I was in a solo room it would be very bored.

Same but now we're getting the opposite. Some ignorant people have been saying it's culture appropriation to speak another's language, wear anything from another culture or in one case I saw with a friend of mine even wanting to ask a question to learn about another's culture. It's sad people mistake culture appropriation to culture appreciation. 😔 I hope all these toxic ignorant voices get drowned out.

@@horsewings3561 Nobody really says that. Its like 1 person says something daft on twitter and then every sensationalist "journo" will see it and write articles as if its a prominent opinion. It's rage bait, clickbait, etc. Basically what I'm saying is... Touch some grass, get out into the real world and you'll see that most people are just fine.

I admire you more and more An Ming, you are a very brave and levelheaded young woman. Going alone to China, Enrolling in difficult classes, teaching, moving to Japan, making sure you meet new people, making KZbin videos (with aplomb) and now taking all the virus complications in stride (seemingly at least, I guess you get a little scared sometimes, but that don't show on your channel). Your parents must be very proud of you, and said levelheadedness means they can feel reasonably sure you will be safe, I'm sure they are very grateful for that, especially in these times. Finally, I agree with you, if I'm gonna eat a cow, I wouldn't start with the tounge... LOL!

Unmarried people unable to afford a single home is not what I mean, I'm saying that once people can afford a home they tend to make that choice. Unless you mean that in Europe multiple married couples who otherwise could afford their own place choose to live together. The reality of moving for work and differences in income etc make this something that is hard to imagine working the fact that we tend to drift apart is unfortunate and I think is ultimately harmful.

Here to say Dahtééh(HI in Apache)from the White Mountain Apache Tribe here in Arizona, I Love watching your channel and someday be fluent in Japanese, Mandarin/Cantonese, Korean, and Spanish other than My Native Apache and Navajo Languages. FYI: Cow Tongue is pretty good, we Apaches actually do eat it, and also stay safe there as well!!!🙏

5:14 Oh, that's beautiful. As an outsider you really don't know all of the national and local traditions, and something that might not a big deal to the locals can be a magical experience, and that is what I feel listening to that song; a beautiful exchange between cultures. Also he sounds like he knows his traditional songs. :)
