Origami helped me find a higher respect for insects, one that I didn't see coming. The life cycle of the dragonfly is amazing unto itself and I would encourage folders too watch the life cycle of dragonflies! Satoshi Kamiya's dragonfly has helped me to further my understanding of the insect and in doing so, deepens my new founded love for dragonflies. Thanks Mariano Zavala, for creating this tutorial it completes the circle of understanding and creating!

@MarianoZavalaOrigami6 жыл бұрын
Muchísimas gracias por tu generosos comentarios y apoyo de siempre, José. Me alegra poder ayudarte. Claro que sí, es una buena opción usar una hoja seda dorada de 50 x 50cm para el Kabutomushi, y aprovechar el cambio de color en las alas, si puedes tratar antes la seda con MC seria genial, así le darás mas firmeza al papel. Saludos

The model is well folded. Enjoy watching your videos ;D As for paper, how do you get two sheets of tissue paper glued together, inspite of attempts of the papers to return to the initial form? I mean, you bought the tissue already folded in some equal parts, but not the intact big sheet, right? When I cook the tissue-foil-tissue paper sandwich, I am driven 1ckingly crazy by this impossibly solved for me problem! Advance thx

Thank you so much for your kind comment. Happy that you like my tutorial. To make these dragonflies, I bought gold and silver tissue paper. They are bicolor (golden on one side and white on the other side). However when I make my double tissue papers I use methylcellulose (MC + tissue + MC + tissue). Greetings

Hey Mariano - great model. I folded this from sandwich paper (one sheet foil sandwiched between two sheets of tissue) but I'd rather use tissue paper like yours but cannot find any thick enough. Stuff like this (amzn.to/2EhsG1F) - is way too thin at around 19gsm. What is the thickness you're using and where did you get it. Best pete

Thank you so much for your kind comment and support, Peter. Happy that you like my folds. I used that same thickness of silver tissue paper (19 gsm). Greetings
