Like the stick out folds too. Last year I made 50 small sized of these in embossed orange thick cardstock for Halloween. Thank you for the large size directions, these are great boxes. I like that you decorated the outside, it’s a very pretty addition.

Wow! Oh! Wowser! love, love, love it. When I saw the "template" I thought Mmmm!! that looks complicated. However with your wonderful talk through it is simple. Guess what I will be doing later!! I have a Craft Table at a Village Market tomorrow, I am going to make a couple to sell. Thank you again for an amazing Tutorial. Patricia xx.

Hi Sam, another really good video tutorial, thank you. I made one using a very decorative piece of 12 x 12 cardstock (so didn't need to mat) and it looked amazing. Second one was from 6x6 white card stock and matted as you showed in the video. Both awesome. Thank you again for your superb tutorials. Steve

BEAUTIFUL 'card" .... :-). May I ask, and I hope to check the start of your 'video' (?: is that what they are called?) for this info prior to posting this, but what paper weight have you used? I tried 12 x 12 at 210gsm and my folds were hard to crisp. Will try now both a smaller size AND a lesser-weight card stock. Like you, i do love this box: it is so striking!!!
@MixedUpCraft Жыл бұрын
Hello @trevanji . I’ve called them Origami gift box because of the folds that are used when following an Origami pattern. I would suggest you try a slightly lighter card if your folds are hard to crisp and see if that helps. . Happy Crafting. 😊
@trevanji Жыл бұрын
@@MixedUpCraft Yes! "lesser" worked. These r my all-time favouritw given the amount of paper, time and beautiful outcome! 💞
@dariawilber2213Ай бұрын
Great box tutorial, thank you! Why wouldn't you just stick down the wings inside the box rather than cut them?
@MixedUpCraftАй бұрын
Hello . By cutting the wings instead of glueing them gives you more room inside for gifts also if I stuck them it would be difficult to fold as the folds would be to thick 😀
@dawngupta31594 жыл бұрын
Hi Sam, newly subscribed and catching up with your previous videos. Love them, especially the giftboxes. Could you let me know what card you used to make the framework of the origami gift box. I have tried some of the stock that l have , but the crease marks tend to crack, even when l’m being gentle 🙁

I've made the small one before and it was pretty but useless as nothing fits in it lol. I'll definitely be making the big one for some xmas pressies. As an eyelet virgin what would I need to buy to be able to use eyelets?? Thanks Sam
@MixedUpCraft6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jacqui, that's why I change it slightly so more would fit into them. Much better with the flaps outside than in. I have shared links in my blog post for the tutorial for the eyelets, you can find the link just below the video :) x

WOW!! I saw this on www.docrafts.com that 'icedimages' posted and was kind to give me your link. I attend a card making class at my local scrapbook store and will definitely be making one for the instructor for our December class when she basically throws a party along with making our Christmas cards!! I know she will love it!! Thanks for making a video so we can clearly see show you make them.
