It's a very good tutorial except i would try to list all the papers needed instead of throwing them in last minute and also indicate before hand what they are used for and also more precise measurements because the result is always important. Although imagination is key some other have difficulty with that and so proper folding is suggested. Good job !

Hello Elisa. I am so lucky to live in Japan.....So there are so many kinds of origami paper here everywhere. you can find that paper on line. Try Amazon or any other shop that supplies origami paper.

This video and the music is so beautiful! I love Origami Japanese Dolls.I actually used to make paper dolls when I was a young kid of 7-8 years old and never knew of Origami till I was in my teens,like 17 yrs old.So I thought it was cool how I just started randomly making those paper dolls in class out of the blue and a lot of my classmates wanted me to make them some as well.

Ah oh uh wow! o_O So lovely! I can't wait to collect all the materials and make it! I am short on card stock! I had to make one by gluing pieces of paper together but it didn't turn out as I wanted it, so I have to visit the bookstore, first thing tomorrow morning! Thanks for the lovely tutorial!

Well actually my dolls hair came out wrong leaning on one side and also my card stock is of an uninteresting beige color - actually it was not even card stock, I made it by gluing together leftovers of beige envelops... art povera!

I bought them in a Daiso Shop in Japan. If there is a Daiso shope near where you live, you can find them there. The golden paper is called foil paper (you can get it in Amazon) and the pink one is glossy origami paper.

Is cardstock acceptable over cardboard?

Definitely, you can use cardstock since it is thin and flexible......

+Nayeli Cortes Con mucho gusto Nayeli.....2 paginas de papel de 15x15cms para el kimono, 1 pagina dorada de 18x18cms, 1 trozo de cartulina de 18x6cms, 1 trozo de cartulina negra de 7x4cms para el pelo, 1 trozo de cartulina blanca de 6x3cms, 1 perforadora de flor, 1 cuchilla cortadora de papel, listo, tijera, pegamento y un marcador.
