Origami Pumpkin Tutorial - Jack O Lantern - Paper Kawaii

Learn how to make an inflatable origami pumpkin for Halloween! This origami jack o' lantern is made from 1 sheet of paper.
This is the same method as the origami apple ( • 3D Origami Apple Tutor... ) except we'll start with hexagonal paper instead of a pentagon.
Don't worry, making a hexagon is easy and shown at the start, you just need a square sheet to start with.

Can only suggest using larger paper if you can, take your time and you can always trim it afterward if needed :)

I think because this was cut that it is technically kirigami. Correct me if I'm wrong. Awesome work btw!!!

Nope not kirigami, you only cut the paper to become a hexagon, not during the process. Even if there were a few cuts, that wouldn't mean it's kirigami either, kirigami - think pop up cards or snowflakes! Traditional origami doesn't exclude a few cuts, unless you follow 'pure origami' which was invented in the 1970's by some English man. 😀

there was this fold in the beg of the hexgon between two short folds, How did you know where to start it? i came out with some crazy sided 8 sided paper and it was because of the guessing game on that fold.Look at other video and found it but you sure messed that one fold in making us guess

the fold starts from the middle crease along the bottom edge, the video pauses at 1:25 to show that the two creases along the right diagonal edge need to line up.

AHEM!!Cutting the paper does not count as origami it counts as paper crafts (no offence) and its good btw juz change the title to paper craft instead of ORIGAMI

the method at the start is how to get a hexagon, which oddly requires you to cut it to become the hexagon... no cutting occurs during the origami
