I'm proud to say that I can do crease patterns. I sometimes need a little help finding the reference points for 22.5 crease patterns, but other than that, I can do exactly what you say: Take a picture of a crease pattern off the internet, and construct a model without needing diagrams or a video.

Amazing piece of art, Mr. Jayson i love it I have a thing for tank models, and this is the most intricate tank design ive seen with a tutorial as well. Arent you the author who made an origami book with different Plane designs? Thanks alot for the share man, beautiful

@@jayson5674 i just made this beautiful tank model the other day with an A4 size cut square bond paper and i loved it, but i realized, due to the bond paper's thickness(and maybe quality), the armor plating pleat on my attempt was spreading out alil too much and sagging a tiny bit outwards. The barrel became alil too thick on my attempt as well when i inserted the slit inside it wudnt stay totally flat so it didnt look that symmetrical like the video turned out, but it did clip inside. Ill try again with a better quality paper when i manage to get the hang of it without any folding errors. Definitely an advanced model, with a couple of folding techniques i havent seen before, quite an intricate fold indeed, i enjoyed making this. I really like the design, Mr. Jayson thanks again for sharing your quality work : ) Ill make this one alot probably gonna memorize it

If you round and shrink the turret then shorten the barrel, it kinda looks likes a t49 or a Sheridan

Jayson, I like your no-nonsense attitude toward the people that diss you or your videos. I actually get better every attempt at a plane, and I got halfway through the Nighthawk, before the paper tore, and I ran out of paper in the reccomended size range. You show the haters who's boss, and I like that. Also, I have a question: Can the SR-71 from the video be folded from an 8-inch square of notebook paper? If it can, I'd like to know. - Origami Gamer

Thanks, i get my attitude twords them from the grandfather of origami; Akira Yoshizawa. Im not as stringent as he was but im more brutal to idiots. I wouldnt try the sr71 with that size paper.

Love all the straight talking, no point pandering to fools !! :) Anyhow that is the most impressive piece of origami I have ever seen ! And I say that as a professional illustrator, sculptor, model maker and CG artist. I wonder how long it took you to design and what your design process was ?

it took many versions. I always use a technique to produce a certain structure within the model then build around it

I can imagine you had to go through a number of iterations to fine tune this idea. Your design processes would make for a good subject to discuss for a video as it is the thinking behind the design that I find most interesting, I hope this is something you might be open to :)

I can make an abrams where the turret can rotate a few degrees but for this model that is not physically possible.

Only stationary models from a single sheet.Making an origami Apache helicopter will require two sheets to fold or more for the main armament.Making a Harrier jet is another story.

Try to fold the Diamondback first. When you master that, do a couple of the missiles. After that, try these few: Dagger, Raven, Diamondback A. Then: F-117, F-22, SR-71, SU-57, F-35, in that order. Enjoy your journey! -Origami Gamer
