Origami tutorial - Cubic box

The cubic box is based on the traditional masu. It may used as a storage box or a pretty gift box. It is folded from two square sheets of different sizes: a first one for the box, and a smaller one for the lid. In the video, I used a 9 cm (approx. 3.5") square for the lid and the box was made with a 15 cm (approx. 6") square. You can also change the size of the cover sheet (from 9 to 13 cm) in order to modulate its thickness (as pictured above).
