In this tutorial you'll learn how to make an origami Velociraptor step by step. This model and my origami T-Rex are very similar because I’ve created both dinosaurs from the same base. The velociraptor has longer tail/arms and smaller head.
I’m very satisfied with this model and I think it’s much better than the T-Rex: it holds the shape well and it can even stand on his feet without tail support, if you use a good paper. Another great feature is the head: you can make it flat or with a nice 3D shape!

This paper has a beautiful texture and holds the creases very well. However, special paper isn’t required and you can use even smaller sheets like 10cm x 10cm origami paper to fold this dinosaur.

I like that you are currently in a dinosaur phase and are continuing the series with this fine model. Thanks Jo! I'll bet it's no coincidence that you are putting them up now as the new Jurassic movie is just out. I like how Velociraptor balances on its two legs. When placed next to the similar T-Rex, the balancing and the non-segmented tail are unmistakable in identifying it as Velociraptor . I've folded a couple V-raptors using 15cm paper and the smaller scale adds to the effect. These meat eaters were about as big as a medium sized dog.

la cola del velociraptor era muy rigida en la base gracias a que este tenia unos "tendones hechos de hueso" que se decia que tenian todos los dromeosauridos, esta cola rigida ayudaba al velociraptor a mantener el equilibrio, y movilidad al momento de correr
