Spider man's spider sense absolutely tells him which direction the danger is coming from. And Assassin Spidey has a much longer backstory where he is trained also by an ex shield agent and has worked to have a highly developed spider sense that even warns him of potential dangers, and a person's intents. I think the worst part about Spider-Verse is that, in most alternate reality stories, to show you how messed up the reality is, they kill the Spider-Man or do something horrible to him. So these Spider-Men that made it and got somewhat of a happy ending in their stories come to this one, and they get offed by people who wear ascots and puffy sleeves unironically.

The most depressing ending belongs to the one from Spider-Man 1602. In his book he becomes Spider-Man as usual and in his ending, he gets with the girl he wants and ends on a happy ending. They pick up with him with Morlun Murdering him and even he whispers to himself that he had his happy ending and died being held by the Mary Jane of that world

I LOVE the Assassin Spiderman. Although I do feel that they sorta nerfed him. He's genetically the same as the other Spiderman, but he's highly refined and thereby physically stronger through regular intensive training. He's mastered combat and is on par with people like Wolverine. He should have been able to hold his own better IMHO.

@@elijahcesar4149 Well I'm not so sure about that... Spiderman vs. Wolverine. Normal 616 Spiderman is a tough one. Peter is faster and stronger than Logan. But by no means is Logan a slouch. And he's got the durability (Logan can take a beating from the Hulk) on his side and a lethality with his claws. And he much more skill and experience. If it was a death battle, Peter would evade most of his attacks probably. But all Logan needs is one or two good swipes or stabs to disable or kill Peter. Sooner or later it will happen. The longer it plays out the sooner it will happen.

There's actually real science behind the glass coffin part of the story: first is the fact that if the coffin is air tight and being filled with water, then the air isn't escaping the coffin, it's being compressed. Also, while it's true that Spider-man is breathing out carbon dioxide, it's actually being absorbed by the water (a water bath filter) therefore keeping CO² below leathel levels. So depending on the volume of the casket, and the rate at which Spider-man consumes the air, he could have survived for several minutes, to several hours inside the coffin.

Assassin Spider man first appeared in What-If? Spidey vs Wolverine. Thats his origin story. Rob, you really gotta brush up. He was trained by Wolverine and his boss in Nabu after Spiderman accidentally killed Alex’s sister on a mission with Wolverine. He got with Alex because she looks like Gwen stacey. He defeated Black Widow and made her look like a child. You dropped the ball on this one Rob. Assassin Spiderman is arguably one of the strongest spidermen introduced because his Spider sense was trained to such a high level that he could predict when people would WANT to kill and could never be surprised because of it. He could predict your moves HOURS before you made them. Marvel also dropped the ball on him in the Spiderverse when he got randomly killed off despite being SO MUCH stronger than ALL the others

It always bugged me that Otto seemed to know so little about the Inheritors prior to this. He has all of Peter Parker’s memories, and Peter has defeated Morlun twice. Even killed him once. How is it that Otto didn’t seem to remember this or came to the realization right away that Morlun, or someone like him, was responsible for the deaths of all these other Spider-Men?

I actually liked the Assassin Spider-Man variant. They make a big deal in the Spidey vs. Wolverine What If about how Spider-Man never really lived up to his potential because of his own self-doubts. If you remove those self-doubts, you would probably get Assassin Spider-Man.

Uncle Ben would disagree, i’m so fucking frustrated that i’m blanking right now on what story it’s from (if it’s even from a comic story), but i know there’s a story where Peter nearly beats a man (i believe it was Ben’s killer) to death with his bare hands. And right when he’s about to finish, the brutalized guys face changes to Uncle Ben’s face, and Ben says something like “You did it Peter, you’ve killed me.” And he goes on to explain that Peter deciding to kill anybody, would be Peter deciding to kill everything that Ben stood for. Everything that Ben tried so hard to instill into him, everything that he sacrificed for his brother’s son, that he raised and loved like his own, everything that makes him Peter Parker would be killed.
