I was around for the original, which needless to say is an absolute legend. I never really transitioned into “dnb” 2 step style, but this tune is deadly & is a great homage to this the original. Remix culture is integral to the scene, I want this legendary tune to be remixed into every subgenre. Super tune.

What they have achieved with this remix is nothing short of phenomenal. Remember hearing this for the first time in 1997, and have been mixing this in to every drum n bass mix since. This remix just brought so many memories back in one go it's almost overwhelming. I remember my older brother brought back a record from the store which was a compilation of what would become classics of the jungle era, and Valley of the Shadows was on there. I was like 8 and I grew up listening to jungle then D'n'B afterwards. Whoever says this remix is bad is missing the point. If it was able to bring me back to when I listened to the original for the first time it serves more than its purpose.

Loadstar showcased the amazing progress they've made production-wise on I Need The Night, Audio & Ed Rush brought forth tons of nasty neuro via the Killbox project, Frankee really put forth his best work to date on his latest Sanctuary LP, Delta Heavy had no problem taking over the charts with each banger they dropped on the label, and of course Wilkinson finally dropped the highly anticipated Hypnotic album. There were so many great singles from Calyx & TeeBee, Teddy Killerz, BCUK, Andy C, and a couple new faces to the RAM family that seriously impressed. I'd never even cared about the label that much before, but now I'm convinced RAM is 2017's dnb label of the year.
