Why is he talking about Poitou-Charentes at the end?
@kellycox494210 жыл бұрын
Keukeu45 Ha! You caught it :) yes, he definitely is talking about Poitou-Charentes (which we do discover in a few episodes). But we kept it in this one as we loved what he said and knew that only the select few- who really understood the region- would catch it. The spirit of what he said though really does transcend any place that you connect with and that's why we decided to keep it here.

You went to France? If so, how come you can't speak French? "Chèvre" (two syllables, second very soft in northern France) means "goat", the animal. Fromage de chèvre means goat cheese.

People do not miraculously absorb new languages by visiting new countries.

“Chèvre” is the name of the cheese. “Fromage de chèvre” means cheese of goat, of which there are hundreds of varieties. If youre going to try to gatekeep a language, at least speak the language first.
