Original Owners Story about his 1970 Baldwin Motion LT-1 Corvette

Tom(Original Owner) giving the history of how this Baldwin Motion Vette came to be. The video camera missed the first minute.. He was flown to Newark New Jersey for discharge from the military and rode the train to New York to buy the motion.

I grew up a few towns away from Motion in Baldwin. I used to see their cars lined up at their shop from the Long Island Railroad. So great I got to tour the shop when I was a kid.... Great Stuff.

The LT1 with those Phase III upgrades...such an excellent package. Thanks for sharing the 10 years of ownership. As a person who has done detail work on US import Vetts, I know how awesome the C3's...and the first out of the Matrix LT1 Phase III must be the most epic small block for 1970. Well done Motion!

I served with a guy that had one of these cars with the LT 1, 4.56 gears, flares & spaghetti tube header./side-pipe Hookers & small but effective hood scoop. This was the quickest Vette in the Pueblo/Colorado Springs area @ the time. We were caught street racing leaving Pueblo one night the result of which was he had to take the car back to Utah or risk impound. That thing would snap your neck, after the 1st couple nights cruising in Colorado Springs on the main drag, word got around & none of the rodders would challenge the car, shit was wicked quick.

Hey I gotta ask did you guys ever take any real video of the car besides the interior video? as I'd love to see what this monster looks like, as something about the LT1 engine in a corvette just seems inherently right. as the Z06's, the originals, were big block suspensions WITH the LT1's under the hood and he kinda made that by accident by ordering that instead of a big block lol
