As Thai. There are a lot of ancient word that only use in poem not daily conversation and actual chanting language(not Thai) in this song. Most of instruments are thai traditional instrument. The song is story about goddess that have duty to salvation souls and free them from reincarnation circle. For decade the goddess fell lonely and decided to trap souls for herself. By beauty and spell she charmed them easily. Then the divine punishment came for her wrong deed. The goddess was sealed deep underwater where the light couldn’t reach. Her voice still remain and endless echo wish for someone to unseal her from imprison curse.

lyrics in thai is very ancient , fancy and poetic. yes , it's even meaningful than the subtitles (thought most thai nowadays need to hear it twice or thrice to fully understand the meaning of entire song , it's that old 😅) edit : i recommended you 'blessing of the nephilim' as well , that song very similar to this song but instead of thai traditional instruments , it's use european one with fany ancient words just like this. (they're from the same project , 'shen yue' there's one chinese song as well using chinese instruments)

Yes, there's many parts that has some lost-in-translation. the 'Love ricocheted back and pierced through my heart'. The 'กลับย้อนมา', is like, to come back; rewind, and/or what not. กลับย้อนมา. And as for ถูกกัดกิน. it means to be eaten/devoured. And หัวใจ mean heart. So it's something like 'But it came back and devoured my heart'. Something similar-whatnot. Yeah, sorry. I'm not good in English lmao.

Actually, it is Thai bagpipes. They try to use only Thai instrument in this song, plus Thai ancient style wall paint illustration like(remain only in temple), plus Thai ancient puppet(remain until now at southern of Thailand), plus Thai ancient word(nobody use these word anymore/usually use only in poem). Yesterday is Loy Krathong Day in Thailand, it is the day that Thai people floating krathong into the river to worship for Ganga, the goddess of river. In this song, Evalia is kind of goddess who in charge of clearn off good or evil in people soul with water before they go to their afterlife realm. However, she struck with this job for an eternity, so she feel so lonely and that make her start to collect a man soul with some spell. Then she got her punishment because she abuse of power. She now have to live deep in the bottom of the river forever.
