Even though Polka can come across as this hyper circus clown, she is actually in my opinion one of the wittiest and sharpest members of Hololive. Her music reflects it but also the way she carries herself in conversations and when hit with questions etc. Also, I have to say those strings at the start and near the end are supurb! It really gives this song a larger than life and kind of hectic and spiraling out of control feeling which obviously works very well with this song and the message.

She's a great singer, a true born comedian and, let's not forget, a listening ear for all her genmates.
@MikayaAkyo Жыл бұрын
That is what i adore about Polka so much. She comes off as carefree and hyper and a full-blown comedian, but when required she's relieable and down to earth and yes it reflects in her songs and Covers. Some are downright silly (Po for example) while most are actually taking a more serious theme, even if they sometimes don't sound like it.

What was it again? To be a clown accidentally can happen to anyone, but to be a clown on purpose requires a lot of wit? Or something like that?
@NatsuFirefly Жыл бұрын
A true genius allways knows when he has to play dumb~ without her wit her performances where she appears to be dull would not be so entertaining at true genius at her work~
I love this song so much, I keep coming back to it time and time again and can never leave until the video itself comes to a stop. It truly is and will be my top Hololive song for now and mayhaps even forever. Keep doing your best Polka, we're all here doing the same thanks to the smiles you bring us with your singing voice and, I mean, your normal speaking voice too, not to mention your very cute laugh and beautiful personality full of wit and charm even when you're not even trying! May the times we spent together never end, our (I've meant to leave a comment many a time I've been here but I finally worked up the courage to actually do it... Love ya )

This is one of the most intricate MVs that I've seen from Hololive. The number of visuals, art pieces, and detailed sets really illustrates how much time and effort must have gone into it. What an amazing MV Polka!
This is one of the most impressive musical projects in all of hololive history. Polka erected a monument with this one.

I know this music video is nearing a year old at this point, but I still find myself coming back to this song frequently. Polka’s vocals in this are insanely good, and I absolutely love the strings and piano used throughout the song, to say nothing of the amazing visuals featured in this MV. I think I can say with confidence that this is my #1 favorite song by any individual Hololive member. Amazing work, Polka, this is an absolute pleasure to listen to every time!

Fantastic song, and an amazing MV to go along with it, Polka really hit us with the full package with this one! Big props to everyone who worked on this, can tell some high quality effort was put into it on all fronts.
PERSONA IS SUCH A COOL SONG!!! This is easily my favorite Polka song, one of my favorite Hololive songs, and one of my favorite songs of all time! It is seriously one of the coolest songs I've ever heard, from the fantastically intense and chaotic instrumentals, the wonderful lyrics giving us a peak at the lesser seen side of being a performer, to Polka's INCREDIBLE vocal range. 2:03 being one highlight of such range, but my favorite part of the entire song is 3:36 onwards. The buildup is amazing, hearing Polka hit that "naaaaaaaaa" at 3:47 is SO satisfying, combined with the percussion just going nuts, it's all so COOL! And the MV as a whole, it's greater than I even imagined! I expected something of this kind of grittier/darker MV given the nature how the song and hiding behind different masks and performances, but the way the MV portrays it all is simply fantastic. I love everything about this song and I found it crazy that after looking it up a bit, almost nobody was talking about it. Hopefully this MV means more people hear how amazing this song is, because Polka does a seriously amazing job here. この曲はかっこよすぎる!ポルカさん、ありがとうございました

@@abi-lavi That bit sounds so much like mid-1990s anime songs. This song feels oddly familiar and new to an old timer like myself.
Only Polka could make a reference to Jungian psychology and make it work in a song like this. I've adored this song for so long now, and having it get an MV is amazing. The lyrics to this, the deep cuts to the trade of performer and the facade for the sake of the fans at the expense of themselves. It's truly a wonderful song that really paints a gritty picture of the darker side to this industry that we rarely get to see as fans. And Polka lets it all out, even as we also know just how much she loves doing this, but you can love something while still criticising it; in fact I would say the more you love something, the more obligation you have to acknowledge that it isn't perfect. It's also fitting for Polka to have been the one to make this, because she is one of the few in this, more niche, part of the industry who goes out of her way to make her content as accessible as possible. So having her bring up how much work, effort and sacrifice an idol makes for the sake of their fans and career hammers some points home. It shows in a lot of her other songs and cover choices; like SAIKYOUTICPOLKA and Proud Idol. It's also funny that Polka, herself, opens the door for psychological analysis of her work by bringing up Jung. It's a bit of a strange level of meta.

The "dark side of the industry" is not as rare and elusive as you think. Just watch Nijisanji or any of the smaller vtuber labels, they have dramas at least once very month because their vtubers can't distinguish between their own identity and work persona.
I can't believe I've only found out about this song just now. It's really hard to put it into words, but... every aspect of this production just exhudes power. The lyrics, the music, the MV, Polka's voice... I just feel overwhelmed with admiration. I want to keep listening to it over and over on repeat.
This song was fantastic, and the MV was amazing too. It's very impressive to me that each of your original songs has a unique feel to it, it makes it very exciting when a new one comes out because I never know what to expect. I don't know how you do it. DeepL: この曲も素晴らしいし、MVも素晴らしかったです。 オリジナル曲はどれも独特な雰囲気で、新しい曲が出ると何が起こるか分からないのでとてもワクワクしますよね。どうしたらいいんでしょうね。

this is probably one of my favorite hololive songs. the arrangement. the lyrics. the mv. just very expressive all around. the same as her everblue.
This right here is why I love Polka. Behind that goofy clown persona lies a razor-sharp wit and an impressive vocal range. She is the entertainer, and she knows just where she stands. (Edit: Also wanted to add - I love how she switches her voice and even her first-person pronouns (boku/atashi) to emphasize the identity crisis. And big props to the person who wrote the English CC for making the figures of speech come across in translation.)
All of Polka's songs have so much of her personality in them

When I hear people deride vtubers as idols (and I would have been in this camp 4 years or so ago, maybe), I'd like to point them at this song. At the lyrics. Or Everblue, by Polka herself. Or Perisai Jitu, by Moona. Or End of a Life, by Calli. This one, in special, feels really devastating to me in a deeply emotional level. If anyone reading the lyrics doesn't get the message that we need to treat other people with a basic modicum of respect, then they're not paying attention.
