Until I heard this song I had forgotten so many old Nfld. expressions and words. My grandmother certainly called everyone her little trout. I had forgotten the douse in the mouth that I heard used quite a lot growing up. I live on the mainland and my friends love it when I quote all the expressions and words used by the people I loved growing up in Nfld.
