Original UNRESTORED 1950's 10 Cent VMC 33 Coke Vending Machine SOLD FOR $4,995

I've owned a '54 VMC 33 for about 40 years and it has been super reliable in its operation. I was able to buy the smaller coke bottles but now I think they are no longer available. We still have this beauty on our covered patio but at the moment I think the electric motor has died and of course I will get it repaired. Ours looks like the one in this video . . . all original and very nice.

I purchased one of these last week. It was from my best friends grandfathers car shop. When he sold the building the lady kept it and I just now got it from her. Everything in mine is original as well. Nothing modified. Would love info on how to clean it up and the difference in price if we didn’t restore it...

I give you much respect and love for treasuring the imperfections of that, yes, TREASURE. It survived generations of use, abuse, some punk kid (like I was) was going to make himself some (literal) coin by jimmying that beauty open. You're more than right...it would be disrespecting the machine by erasing any of that. And LOOK how beautiful she is!! When things loosen up a little, count on a call from me...owning this machine or a Vendo 39 is a dream of mine that I aim to make happen! As I watch this, I am enjoying a 16 oz. glass bottle (what COKE called "King Size") of Coke from Honduras who still use not only the thick glass (everyone returns their empties for the refund...and it's eco friendly to the max...GLASS, NOT PLASTIC) but still make Coke with cane sugar. Incredibly, as good as Mexican Coke is, the Cokes from El Salvador, Nicaragua and as stated Honduras are actually smoother than Mexico. But that's all subjective, taste preference. Is there a way to adjust the shelves to accommodate the 16 oz.? I can't remember (I don't think so). I think the 10 oz. was the biggest to be vended in the machines. I'm subscribing, brother and respect, MUCH Respect for what you do. To me, it's kind of holy, Peace,

How much does something like that run about 15-20k? Have you ever seen a "cavalier" model? I think those were made in 1954...(segregation purposes). It had 10 cents for blacks on one side, 5 for whites on the other. They were placed in a "cut out" in the walls of diners. Ugly history, but an interesting machine. I believe there were only about 300 made and I think only 10 are known to excist.
