Extra info for checking the original and fake ones: the cord attaching the power supply wire is white, the one from fake consoles is black ! Contra 3 is writtent in BIG LETTERS (CONTRA III THE ALIEN WARS) on official one, but in regular letters (Contra III The Aliens Wars) on fakes Yoshi's Island has a type mistake in fakes Star Fox 2 is very laggy and is not coming close to Star Fox 1 by default

I've read on reddit that trying to install hakchi can help you tell if it's an original Snes Mini, when opening hakchi and connecting the console, if it's original it will detect it and you can install it normally, but if it's fake it won't recognize the console nor will let you install it.

Hackchi is so nice for the classic. I put so many games on it. Just make sure to spread them out evenly in folders or it has a hard time loading that many game files on one screen, will crash.

Yep. We paid $250 for one and it ended up being a counterfeit. It was laggy and glitchy. I knew right away it was fake. I am still searching for an authentic mini SNES console over 2 years later.

I found a original snes mini at a thrift store for $9 lol. Has no sticker, has grayish controller cord and plug and the port that the cord plugs into has the divider between the holes. The power cord, charging box and instructions are missing but for $9 i can't complain lol.

$9 no way. Power cord and adapter - you can use pretty much any like from old androids. Console really needs just a couple of Watt of power

They all suck. Some more and some less, some cannot save, some come out defective out of the box. Some lag more, some less. All of them use cheap quality transistors and whatnot and gonna break sooner than later, rust inside. All of them use other software so they cannot be modded with hakchi. Instead You can find used original no retail box below $100. Go for that instead

Hey mate. Do the fake controllers work on the original hardware? And how do the newer fakes compare? You showed just one fake outside the box and you didn’t show the menu, etc. I’m trying to get extra controllers and maybe a token gift for someone. The original ones were always expensive and are now crazy expensive. Cheers!

I haven’t made a video for the gaming. I tried it, it is bad. Fake controllers are often not compatible, or they break quickly. Find controllers from legit brands: Insignia (bestbuy brand), Yok, My Arcade. You can find cheap sometimes.

@@luckyluck6135 Just get something else if you plan to mod. The Snes classic has issues running certain special snes games and romhacks and n64 games have a lot of issues as well. Ps1 games run great but you can pay the same price and get a piece of hardware that is more compatible with emulation software and powerful enough to run above 32-bit.

I think it is noble idea to help others. I’ve never bought or sold anything on merkari so i don’t know how it works to be honest. Fakes are on ebay, walmart, amazon - everywhere, and now they are definitely a majority

I taught and explained to their employees what is fake snes classic edition look like and where it came from. The workers had no idea there is as a fake snes classic edition existed and I don't blame them because I didn't know it either. Sadly, Amazon doesn't know anything about modding the snes classic edition

NES should be CU Original North American: CU is for NES, SU is for SNES Fakes had CU on both, now I see fakes with SU as well but font is way off. And once you open you can see how every part is a bit different
