Wow! So much different than the forms as I learned them! My Sifu learned from W.C. and another Sifu as well so it was two systems put together as Sifu saw it would be most effective.

I don’t wish to be judgemental but the student in the white shirt when during the bong-Sau drill has a bad habit of lifting his shoulder with his bong hand instead of keeping his shoulder level.

That's because of the cultural revolution disappearing anyone known to practice. most all scholars and martial arts masters were exterminated because of communism. also the forbiddance of teaching non Chinese.

yo 'i'm assuming u have contacts to ppl in the core wing chun community.... i have a "workout" that i do regularly that i think is perfect for wing chun... when i practice wing chun (which isn't nearly as often as i'd like) it is VERY healing from my exercises. the reason i think my form is perfect for wing chun isn't just that it heals me very well but that it's obvious this style focus's on "rooted" and "forward" muscles.... my form gives you ALL of these i hope to see it added to the style officially but don't kno who to talk to about it kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5LHpaimidiInpY

Just like Tai Chi Pushing hands practice, the first stage of learning is static in order to give a good understanding of the method. But you're right, therés not classical stances nor elaborate footwork in this sequence, just like in real fight. You will rarely see perfect footwork and stances during a real assault. The fact is that during Chi Sao, you try to pierce your partner's defense so, even in motion, the focus is on attack and self protection and you can really move in an esthetic way. I hope you'll be able to bettre understand this kind of training.

The Ip brothers were NEVER taught by their father. Yip Man said that he did not teach family members simply because family could not show proper respect.

When did you speak to Sigun Ip Man about that, do you have a recording of the your personal conversation or are you just passing around hearsay gossip. Do you not know that Kung Fu Traditions were most kept a well guarded family secret passed on through the generations and that we are highly privileged to have access to such.
