This documentary changed the path of my life for the better 9 years ago. Jack was an inspiration, his infectious enthusiasm for records and club culture has paved the way for many new artists and broke the mould of “the DJ”. RIP 🏴

The intro hits a lot differently after reading about the news of his death. Among others, you put Glasgow on the map. Thanks for the music + founding 'Numbers' with your homies. Always have been one of my top fav' labels, the Sophie dub is still a knee slapper. Rest easy Jack.

Used to play this doc all the time back in the day and it left a huge impression on me when finding my way into dance music. The guy had so much going for him, he had so much personality and was an insanely passionate music curator. Inspired me tons, thank you Jack rest easy!

23:23 I'm coming back to this documentary and moment after Jack's passing away, some 10 years after first watching it. He was always one of those DJs I wanted to catch in person, I thought I'd catch him play in Ibiza or Glasgow at some point. He left too soon. Rest in peace.

A significant loss. To dance music, to the people who knew him, friends and family, and to the people watched him play behind the decks. A wizard of his craft, the first DJ I really knew about being 18 and fresh on the scene. A Glaswegian personality that cannot be replaced. Rest in peace

I remember jumping up that roof years ago and getting onto the roof higher up and somebody must have robbed a wallet and threw it down through the glass window on top of the roof into the building and there were credit cards laying around. I think it was above the Fopp record shop on Byres road next to the Hillhead library. I went to school with him and used hang about with him a wee bit before and after I left Hillhead high school. Last time I saw him was about 2003-2004. Heard he died yesterday and was gutted. RIP Jack!

"That was the best night I've ever had, certainly in there, maybe in my life, and I've still got it on MiniDisc." Seemingly innocuous comment if you're from the Soundcloud and KZbin generation, but it was rare to hear a recording of a set you heard out back then. Jack's not saying "I've still got it on MiniDisc." He's saying "I'VE STILL GOT IT ON FUCKING MINIDISC!"
