I bought one of those LPB or distortion around 1975, it plugged straight into the amp input. It literally set my friends Dual Showman head on fire while I was playing it, lol!! and we weren't upset!!

"Double meaning" of the Big Muff must be "Delicious!", like a Big chocolte Muffin.

So "Ants in the Pants" syndrome led to the EHX Fuzzies? Sounds about right I guess.

what is he talking about 'the amps in the 60s had lots of headroom and they wouldnt distort'?? every amp from that era that ive played can easily be overdriven by any guitar when cranked..

Well yeah, if pushed enough most amps will eventually get into some distortion, but compared to modern amps, or even amps in the '70s, the early '60s amps he's referring to have much more clean headroom.
