more than just landing on that part, you should be hitting your target from an arc instead of straight into it if possible. feels so much more stable and solid if you come down on top of the obstacle instead of slamming into the corner of it. still find myself aiming for the edges obstacles a lot because i havent quite trained enough to control the arc of my jump in many scenarios yet. but with a plain standing pre within my max, i have learned to suck my legs up more before i extend for the landing to help get more on top of my target. think its something i learned from trying to figure out how to stick a landing on one foot, the pulling legs up more before extending to land part. seems like most people dont do this atm, leaving their legs extended for the majority of the time they are in the air.

This is not always true. It is important to know how to contact the edge in a precision jump. Too much focus on an arc makes it unnecessarily harder to control your landing, among other problems. More on this in another video coming soon. -Tom

Good topic! Just to add: it only works on soled feet. Barefoot landings on edges are different ❤️

I thought I was supposed to land on both my shins then drop to my ribs on the bar and be out of training for a few weeks.
