This week on Uncut, the boot factory nearly had to halt production of the new Moc Toe due to domestic supply chain issues. After spending several months designing, building, and launching these boots, one critical component nearly brought operations to a standstill. The team now faces the challenge of figuring out how to resolve the issue-or if it's even possible to do so.

Manufacturing environments are tough. I am an IT Manager/Director in a medium-sized manufacturing company in the US and the struggle is real when it comes to sourcing parts and suppliers. Keep up the good work and God bless!

I like that you guys are honest, and showing some insight into some of your manufacturing processes/hangups. Really great, Honest, USA made oriented company. I appreciate you guys.

I’m a COO at a small/medium manufacturer in the US and this is definitely realistic! Been through similar struggles over the years. Just part of the process. Just gotta get scrappy and roll with it the best you can like y’all are. Keep fighting the good fight!

If it were my call, I would say do both of those options: get the bulk material to split yourself as your waiting for your shipment to come in while also seeking out other manufacturers that can source it for you. Good on you for bringing jobs back to the US.

Anytime you see in the factory and hear from the workers, you know it's good. When do you see sweatshops giving airtime to their slaves?

Please consider adding sizes 7/7.5 again. I just got a pair of 7.5 bison boots that were discontinued. My surprise to have seen they were available.

Something my first television tower boss told me... I was ontop of a 1000' to 2000' foot tower at night time hanging off a 125' pole ontop of the tower and the fiberglass hand holds kept breaking off. There wasn't anything else to hold onto and there was no way to have a safety, so I was free climbing.

And to be fair, that was a machine part, not material for the product. All products are still 100% U.S. made ("from dirt to shirt" as the moto goes).

Why not a leather midsole? I know rubber adheres to rubber better but leather is still a very viable option.

Gucci makes trash product that rarely lasts. There is an entire industry of Gucci returned product that the manufacturer won’t even fix, they sell in used bulk. Look inside a Gucci purse or shirt next time you’re near their store…..you’ll see frays on the inside straight from the Chinese and Pakistan factory they source their stuff from. At least Origin makes a quality product that isn’t robbing people due to a “brand”.

Actually paying their workers instead of using sweat shop slave labor is a big cost, as is sourcing 100% of the material from the U.S. And their products are all outstanding quality. If you don't want their level of quality or to support their mission to rebuild American manufacturing, but instead prefer to buy subpar products while supporting slavery and the continued death of American manufacturing, that's your prerogative.
