They don't need to do anything to the field or seating at Camden Yards. It is literally perfect. However, they likely need upgraded vomitoriums, concourses, vendor spaces, and bathrooms.

Oriole park is a gem, it really doesn't need anything. Baltimore should really do a huge renovation on their arena and try for an expansion or relocation (coyotes) nhl team. That inner harbor downtown is amazing, more people should visit it. Ridgelys delight might be the most underrated neighborhood in the world, maybe one day when I become rich and famous, they will let me live in the Babe Ruth house lol.

That centerfield area would be great to connect the right field and left field upper decks with some sort of space with restaurants and shopping experiences. Maybe even two decks from the upper and second decks. Possibly putting suites in the old warehouse connecting it to the stadium.

Regarding the Orioles attendance from 2012 to 2016, it was definitely an improvement over the previous four years, but it was still nothing compared to where it was from '92 to 2001 when they drew over 3,000,000 nine times (and would've on ten occasions had it not been for the '94 strike). Because of Washington, DC having had a Major League team since 2005, and how competitive the Nationals were from 2012 to 2019, it had a effect on the Orioles attendance in the last three years where they made the play-offs. Because of that, they're more than likely not going to frequently fill the seats of the 3rd deck in left field like they did in their earlier years or draw 3,000,000 consistently like they used to. I've always enjoyed seeing those upper deck seats filled, but because tickets for them most likely won't be purchased as often as they were in the parks early years, it would make sense to renovate that part, as it does get depressing seeing most or all of them empty that frequently.

I'm an Orioles fan and I go to several games a year. It is a beautiful park, but there are too many seats. When the stadium was built, the Nationals weren't in DC and they could get away with a 45,000+ seat stadium. Now, they would be much better off being in the 38,000-40,000 range. That being said, they went way overboard with moving the outfield wall. It looks ridiculous

Oriole park needs concession upgrades more than anything else. The stadium looks amazing and with a great team that will draw more and more fans, I don’t see a logical reason to remove seats in the upper deck. Those will start selling soon, especially after the O’s reach the playoffs. As much as I would like to see fan experience upgrades, this rendering that was shown in the video is horrendous. Getting rid of the flag court and blocking part of the warehouse would be disastrous to the stadiums aesthetics.

Clean up the endless crime in the Inner Harbor area. That use to be part of the game day experience for a lot of people. The two pavilions and the mall attached to the Renaissance hotel are close to 100% vacant. Start enforcing the law and make the area safer. That would be the best renovation.

Both stadiums are continuously upgraded and maintained. Both look better now, than they did when they opened, thanx to the Md General Assembly & The Md. Stadium Authority, both of whom recognize the value of both buildings to the area.

I worked there when they started the stopping of selling seats in upper three (upper left field area). It started in Covid and they never opened it since. I have thought the bar was gonna go up there since Covid. I had never seen the renderings for right field. The right field looks good. I think if they don’t put in left field upper, they will put a big screen out in left field. They desperately need to make the centerfield screens taller and wider. And improve the audio/sound systems in the stadium.

My sense is that they will leave the left field upper deck as it is, and rip out the weird right field corner and put a bar/SRO area over there. I live in D.C. and used to go to around 5 games a year at Camden Yards, but since the Nationals came to town I literally haven't been back to Camden once. The O's really did lose a lot of their available fanbase when the Nationals arrived. Camden Yards is just a perfect stadium experience.

As an Orioles fan, I liked the idea of them moving the left field wall back, but it was overkill. I think they moved it too far back and too high. The main reason they gave for this was to attract top of the line free agent starting pitchers. Well, the only one they signed in the off-season was Kyle Gibson. He's a good guy, but not an ace. It's been 30 years since the All-Star game was in Baltimore. Multiple teams have hosted it twice since then, with Seattle hosting in 2001 and this year.

They didn't necessarily move the fence up in left. Its just the level of where the original seating was, so they had to have the wall meet the seat levels or they would have had to do way more renovations to make it work. Honestly...id say the ideal distance would have been anywhere from 50% to 75% of the depth they are at now. The wall would have been a little lower, but still enough depth to accommodate pitchers.

Moving the left field wall back was the smartest decision they've made. You can't have the entire stadium easily homerun reachable. It has to be evened out. In Boston, leftfield is short with the Green Monster but right field is deep. Yankee stadium has a short right field porch but left center is deep. They need to leave Camden Yards exactly as it is. It is the best ballpark in the league.

Well moving the fence back and up was a very great strategy move. Os could not get top line pitchers because NO pitcher wants a pop up to be a HR. John Means no hitter would not have happened if it had been at Camden. Atleast one ball in that game would have been gone. So theres that. More sellable to get top pitchers. Then Elias has made a very strong push to drafting left handed hitters. Most of top prospects and ones we've pulled up over the last couple years are left handed hitters or switch to oppose the majority right handed pitchers. The top power hitters on other teams in the East are the majority right side hitters. So in the long run it hurts other teams much more than what the average Joe can see. He seems to be maximizing home field advantage.

R I G G E D. How is this not rigging the system? Most of their young talent is left handed. Adley Rutchman, Gunnar Henderson, Colton Cowser, even Holiday who isn't called up yet is a left handed hitter. Their strategy was obviously to move the right field fence back because it won't effect their lineup as much, but it will enable them to sign free agent pitching cuz it's so deep and most teams don't have this many lefties. It's already working. Look at their record

First of all, I dislike the netting extended down both foul lines. I think the idiot fans that get caught talking or looking at cell phones that get hit with batted balls is their own fault. I understand though how it use to be with the netting needed behind home plate. Upper deck seating is considered bad seating in most all parks. Not necessarily in the NFL but in MLB it is awful. Not only is it too far away, without binoculars, but the balls hit in the air are extremely misleading. Fly balls look deep but are often just routine pop ups. You have to watch the movement of players down on the field to determine distance or potential distance of batted balls. Entertainment bars or restaurants? There is almost nothing that isn't way overpriced already. Are you coming to watch a game or sit in a bar or restaurant? Too many unnecessary so-called attractions take away from the actual game itself. Go to a sports bar, eat, drink, and watch the game on a big screen then. Your wallet will be fatter I can practically guarantee that. One other thing, and this appears to be most all of MLB now, but the continued markup of ticket prices when PROMOTIONS are featured has become an issue in my opinion where it once was not. It is sickening to spend an extra $15-$20, and that is for the upper deck seats mainly also, better seating is usually more, per ticket because it is some sort of Bobblehead Night, Hawaiian Shirt, Hats, or even some after game concert. It is disgusting, that baseball finds ways to rip fans off on every single turn. People act like they have all this money and no one or nothing to use it on. A family of four will spend at least $250 for tickets (upper deck non promtion), parking, and concessions. It really is sad that a venue now has to outshine or compete with the actual game or event itself on the field. Maybe they should start selling tickets just to sit behind the dugout or in the stadium with no game being played. They already do that in some cases where idiots pay money to come in and watch games on the big scoreboard if the team is out of town. Then if the team wins a championship, they gather in huge crowds like the fans in fact are the ones who really won something. Fans don't win anything, or I should say, get paid anything. They pay they don't get paid. They also envy and need to be entertained because most have no clue how to entertain themselves.
