Great review! I agree, that this line lost its way when Oris discontinued the arabic numeral dial versions. Having owned and held tons of watches, including many more expensive and 'high end' watches, this version of the Oris 65 is my favorite watch. So much so, that I bought two black dial versions (one to keep on bracelet, the other to swap straps). Can't recommend it enough!

Hi Alberto, thanks for sharing your honest comments! I believe you have a keeper of the watch - I do agree the black dial version is the most versatile and classic of all. The other thing I notice about the newer versions is they sort of increased the case size I think, which throws of the vintage proportions in my opinion.

@@twosecondswatch Agreed. The new dial designs of lume plots also creates more negative space, making the dial appear bigger, and in my opinion, makes the watch look more like a Submariner homage. Also gone is the black DLC bezel, which really gave it a retrocool vibe. The only 'fault' of this watch is the Sellita based movement with a 38hr power reserve, but if you own this watch you'll wear it so much that 38 hrs is enough! And, you don't have to deal with the service issues related to using an uncommon in-house movement (i.e. Oris Cal. 400)

Will the steel bracelet from the current divers 65 40mm fit this model too?

Hi there, honestly I’m not too sure. Might be a good idea to check with the Oris AD. Most of the time they should be.
