Great video - thank you. We installed this fan but it's always on, the switch doesn't turn it on/off. The remote works fine but since the switch won't turn it off, we can't pair it. Do you know how to fix this?

Did you follow the instructions on pairing? Maybe your wiring is connected to another wall switch too.

I can tell you now that certain wall switches won't let you pair things with Alexa, I have a wall switch that slides left to right that connects to my fan and I didn't even attempt to pair it with the app because I already no it won't work, but what I plan on doing soon is, I will try to turn the breaker of and on three times, if that doesn't work then I will remove the wall switch and replace it with on that goes up and down witch will fix the problem

It's two ways to pair the fan, and if you have a 2/4 -5Ghz you have to turn off the 5Ghz before pairing to make all the commands work properly, if you don't no how to turn off the Ghz first, then you will have to call your cable company to walk you through it

I'm not sure you can because the remote is used to control everything. Just don't use it if it's set to what you want.
