I am enjoying your videos SOOO MUCH. I have never been to Shetland. I always had an ambition to go there, but it is time-consuming and expensive to travel there - and I don't suppose I will ever reach Shetland now. So your detailed and atmospheric videos have given me an introduction to the archaeology and the landscape. I am looking forward to your trip to Foula. I have visited Orkney several times, since I first attended the St. Magnus Festival in 1977 - but once again your videos are capturing the atmosphere and bringing back haunting memories. The Tomb of the Eagles was always an archaeological site out-of-bounds when I visited. The last time I visited the Ring of Brogar, I was able to walk all over it -- but another neolithic village has apparently been dug up next to it. Lots more to come - St. Magnus Cathedral, the Italian chapel, the Kitchener Memorial, Egilsay, five monuments on Rousay, Papa Westray, North Ronaldsay, the Dwarfie Stane, the magic of Rackwick and Betty Corrigall's grave, that haunting gravestone on the edge of a moor on Hoy for the poor woman buried in unhallowed ground between two parishes. I find your narratives clear, calm and instructive; your filming veers between highly detailed close ups of the stone patterns in houses and tombs and wonderful positioning shots of the landscape surrounded the site. When you filmed the landscape around Maes Howe, I was able to pick out the Lochs of Harray and Stenness and the hills of Hoy looming up in the far distance - memories indeed! You even took us to Cuveen. Best of all, you sit down for a peaceful rest to take your time and enjoy the view - so we can relax with you - and you do not blast us with heavy beat music! I am loving your videos - keep them going!

Many thanks indeed Ken for your encouraging comments, and for taking the time to write at such length. Unfortunately we weren't able to go back to Shetland last year because of all the restrictions as a result of Covid, but hope to do so this year. A couple more videos on Orkney to come, including Egilsay, Kirkwall, the Italian Chapel etc.
