I played my first combat patrol game today and had a blast. But I was playing Dark angels and we agreed that an Oath of moment-ed Dread is no fun to play against. So I’m going to print out a custom Death Guard army because I’ve heard they are tough to use.

Pistols only being able to be fired if no other guns fired only applies if its not a vehicle or monster. So deffkoptas can shoot them in addition to rockets. Edit: just got to the point where they corrected themselves.

Hey guys love your videos. I'm trying to learn DG Combat Patrol and I'm so confused about what happens in this game. Tycho's 7 poxwalker resurrecting move at 1:21:28 is wrong right? Shouldn't it be a D6 max? WALKING PLAGUE: "In your Command phase, select one friendly Poxwalker unit within Contagion Range of the bearer. Return up to D6 destroyed Poxwalker models to that unit." Secondly, at 33:26 Typhus needs Deep Strikes with Miasmic Arrival to appear -> this abiilty replaces Walking Plague to my understanding, he shouldn't be able to resurrect anything at all as this ability overrides the other. MIASMIC ARRIVAL: "Your Typhus model is your Warlord and has the Walking Plague Enhancement. You can replace this with Miasmic Arrival." If i'm wrong, I'm so confued ahah can someone explain what am I missing? love y'all!

Okey, i love you guys. I love the energy and i always enjoy seeing you guys play. I even made a patreon account just for you. With all that said, combat patrol really isn't a fun format to watch. This was way harder to write than I expected ^^

I appreciate the honesty. And acknowledge it can also take courage to be critical making me appreciate this more. We are working hard to present all aspects of 40k, including Combat Patrol because we think it will be a good format for people coming into the hobby. We are not replacing 40k in 40m and have a lot planned for that too. Can I ask which episodes were your favourite? Would love to understand what is working for you and what is not.

@@PlayOnTabletop Fair enough. I can accept that I might simply not be the target audience for combat patrol, and that is fine. My personal favorites are the one that is basically 40k matchplay "with a twist", exploring terrain, falling buildings etc. I also like the more custom games, the train mission, the mining mission, the 2v2 missions. The crusades where awesome! There basically isn't anyone doing good crusades on KZbin (that I can find at least) so that was a fresh change. I also liked the marvel crisis protocol games, that looked fun. This is of course only the gaming episodes, not counting all the battlebuddies and other fun stuff. But I assumed that was what you where asking for? Hope it helps, and keep up the great work!

Also I know we are all learning the variant rules, heck my buddy and I made it to turn 3 and realized a lot of rules were missed. Don’t lethal hits still grant a save? Dev wounds deal mortals but I believe those are very rare in Combat Patrol. Please enlighten me.

Honestly glad there is no sniper. I find it really annoying when the game just stops, something dies for no reason. It's even worse when the game hasn't even started and someone is loosing. The gameplay and narrative of the match also feels lost, you don't pay money to have players sit out in sport.
