Orlando 4K - Skyscraper District - Driving Downtown

The City of Orlando is nicknamed "The City Beautiful", and its symbol is the fountain at Lake Eola. Orlando is also known as "The Theme Park Capital of the World" and in 2016 its tourist attractions and events drew more than 72 million visitors. The Orlando International Airport (MCO or OIA) is the thirteenth-busiest airport in the United States and the 29th-busiest in the world.

Orlando is not a safe city at all. Its A toll obsessed city with more tolls going up on I-4. Drive one mile over division street towards parramore and OBT and go either way on any side street. Its ghetto and drug n crime infested. Prostitutes, bums and poor begging. This is just a bubble May or dyer created. Across from the soccer Arena and central and Terry street you won't believe the homeless and alcoholics sleeping in the streets. A product of pure greed Orlando. Also, notice no people? That's because it's only bars. Nothing for families or things to do to sit and eat in a at all. Also, its not a big city. Its we wanna be big city.

I sort of look forward to being able to take a train from the airport to downtown. You can do that in Denver, and Orlando is also seeing tremendous growth. I definitely would like good public transportation wherever I may move to.

Orlando native here - Moved to SW Tennessee in 1996. Used to work at Bo Laws Automotive, 1015 W. Church St (@ Westmoreland). Its so strange viewing this or visiting and driving around, as at nearly every intersection half of the buildings are the same and the other half are totally new and different. Thanks for the post!

I was in Orlando 1957 to 1960 with the USAF - Came back for a visit in 1989 - Love it back in the 1950' when it was kind of a small laid back town. I was in Orlando when they constructed the fountain.

I graduated from college at UCF in 1981, being from northern Illinois, I miss the place. I lived off Kirkman road. I used to drive around a lot, orange blossom trail, orange Avenue, highway 50, I drove around just for the hell of it. Now at age 62 I think I'm going back. There's a bar that I hung out called the why not lounge. I wonder if the ladies I hanged out with still go there. I will never know. Good video times have changed.

I used to work at (then) Sunbank Tower for LPC (In house) Security back in the 1989 & 90. When Church Street Market was shops and Restaurants. And Church Street Station was Country Bars, Gift Shops and Restaurants. A lot has changed in Orlando in the last 30yrs. It was good to see the place once again!
