8:45 I loooove when Lee describes his character/elves! He always mentions they aren't human and "sort of wild", and that is the first thing that struck me the first moment I saw his eyes in DOS. That wild, scary, not-human beauty gives me chills. He really does immerse himself completely. I forget Lee and Thranduil are the same person. Amazing actor. I also love how when he talks, everyone goes kind of silent and respectful....he just has this aura about him.:)

I love how Evangeline downplays the importance of the love triangle (I was annoyed by that, even though I adore Kili and Tauriel's chemisty) and instead points out all the other important backstories that were going down during botfa. Really lets her inner Tolkien nerd shine through (apparently she was really nervous about the fan reaction to her playing a movie-OC, because as a fan, she knew how fans can be about accuracy and thruthfulness to material)

I thought the same thing, but they cast these parts for actors based off their looks. Lee pace appears more 40-50ish with his face shape, and eyes. I also saw something similar the first time I ever saw Luke Evans. I thought, "That guy looks like an older version of Orlando Bloom." Then looked them up and saw that Orando Bloom is actually older than Luke Evans. Orlando has just been blessed with a baby face.
