I had an ‘if only’ moment when Rachel said the flight would have been better if it was shorter, I’m flying directly from Melbourne Australia to LA to take my grandson to Disneyland and the flight is 14hrs 15 mins. Longer on the way home because we couldn’t get business class ticket on a direct flight even though I booked 10 months in advance. Flying to New York next year and that is an epic flight.

I usually plan to, I think I did film some of the trip home, but as it's an overnight flight they'll have the lights off and most people (including me) are trying to sleep so I usually just get some clips of the food. I'm pretty sure did a bit more this time!

I always bring snacks when I fly unless it’s a really short flight. I once was on a long flight with a short plane transfer that I didn’t get to eat anything all day. They only offered the tiny pretzels that are more coating (glue to me) so I can’t eat them, they are really nasty to me. I can eat the 3-4” ones cuz they are mostly pretzel. Because I was escorting my father-in-law we ordered a wheel chair to change planes and they bring it at the last minute. That also happened with my 3 yr old son with both legs in a cast. We sat on the plane for a whole hour waiting for the chair then the guy was literally running thru almost the length of the airport to the plane where everyone was already seated.

Good afternoon Karen. When we take the train from London is it a long walk from the train? It says half a mile. My husband is not a great walker so wondering. We stayed there before but the coach dropped us at the hotel. Thank you so much.

The train to Gatwick drops you right at the South Terminal, if you need the north terminal there is a shuttle. There are elevators up from the train platform too!
